Reading Write Alaska is currently seeking full-time Occupational Therapists at our Anchorage location, with management positions available. We've moved into a brand new location and have on-site childcare available for all staff children ages birth-Kingergarten. Great position for moms out there! Provide diagnostic and treatment services including the initial evaluation, determination of the treatment program, and implementation of the treatment program to children ages 0-18 with a variety of occupational therapy needs.
Develop patient plan of care with short and long-term goals.
Monitor client progress and treatment plans adjusting goals and treatment as needed and determine discharge care plans as appropriate.
Maintain all records in compliance with regulations, reimbursement requirements, and job responsibilities.
Provide family education and training to assist in carryover of skills into a client’s daily living environment.
Communicate with other professionals such as physicians, psychologists, social workers, behavior therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and recreation therapists, with signed release of information.
Team with parent and/or other team members in a therapy session, as appropriate.
Make appropriate referrals for additional services such as psychiatry, psychology, dentistry, audiology, behavior therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and educational therapy.
Provide clinical consultation to future OT staff and clinical supervision to COTAs as needed. (Manager)
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited University
Must possess the necessary certification and valid license(s) to operate as an Occupational Therapist.
Previous work with Handwriting Without Tears a plus!
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Team oriented, flexible and great verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude, high attention to detail, and self-starter.
