NeuroRestorative is currently seeking a full-time, Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide residential, rehabilitation, and community-based services for individuals in our Adult Programs. Our occupational therapists perform assessments, provide both individual and group therapy sessions, supervise occupational therapy assistants and interns, and work collaboratively with a team of highly trained physical therapists, speech language pathologists, behavior analysts, rehabilitation counselors, medical personnel, and residential staff. Core competencies include proficient communication skills, effective collaboration and problem-solving skills, commitment to continuous professional improvement, and engaging in essential job functions.
Essential Job Functions
Evaluate and assess program participants in residential, rehabilitation, and/or community environments
Develop effective treatment plans while providing quality service in collaboration with the rehabilitation team on strategies and techniques to support program participants’ programming
Provide re-evaluation, programmatic changes, and effectively manage a caseload
Provide guidance and support to occupational therapy assistants
Follows and implements documented rehab plans and/or protocols
Documents participant progress toward meeting established objectives and outcomes
Maintains daily documentation and report of services for program participants
Serve on rehabilitation treatment team, including meetings, attending conferences, departmental meetings for program development, and establishing a system of operations for team enhancement
Follows daily scheduling patterns, communicates with staff, and adjusts schedules as needed for flexibility
Collaborates with physicians, staff, professionals / paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of occupational therapy services
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited OT program
Licensed or license eligible through the IL Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
Experience in neuro-rehabilitation preferred.
Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
Effective communication skills

Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
