Department: Acute Rehabilitation
Position Type: Full Time, 36 hours/week, Exempt
Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, four 9-hour shifts, with rotating weekends within a four-week rotation
Your role with us
As an occupational therapist in our Acute Care Rehabilitation team at Salem Health, you will be evaluating and treating patients in a wide variety of specialty areas such as neuro-trauma, orthopedics, neurology, medical/surgical, intensive care and so much more. Be part of our Centers of Excellence, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients undergoing joint replacement surgery, spine surgery and stroke recovery.
What you'll do
- Conduct evidence-based evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech therapists, and care managers.
- Deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care with a strong emphasis on communication and customer service.
- Communicate professionally and effectively within the team and across departments.
Requirements
Required qualifications
- Holds a valid occupational therapy license to practice in the state of Oregon or is license eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
Additional information
- Successful candidates will have clinical experience in the Acute practice setting.
