Position Overview:
We are seeking an occupational therapist who is passionate about nature, an affirmative, client centered approach to pediatric occupational therapy and is interested in helping grow a unique nature based therapy program. We are currently offering a W2, hourly position for at least 30 hours a week with an increase as caseload grows if candidate is open to more hours. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to join a practice at the onset and help grow their position to their interests. We are specifically looking for someone that has at least three days of afternoon/early evening (up to 6pm) availability.
Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy assessments to evaluate children's strengths and areas of need
COTA supervision when needs exist
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique needs and goals
Implement therapy sessions using a developmental, relationship-based approach to promote skill development and functional independence
Collaborate with families and other members of the therapy team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
New grads are welcome to apply; strong mentorship available
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Ohio
Previous experience in pediatrics preferred
Experience utilizing a developmental, relationship-based approach to therapy
Love of nature
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Passion for working with children and families
Motivated with ability to function proactively and independently
