Occupational Therapist (School-Based)
Compensation: Up to $80/hour
Location: Brooklyn & Bronx, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem (School Schedule)
Flexible placement opportunities are available across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island based on candidate preference.
TAG MedStaffing is hiring multiple Occupational Therapists (School-Based) in Brooklyn & Bronx, NY for our client, supporting occupational therapy services within school settings for the upcoming school year. This role offers flexible school placements, working with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and classroom participation. You will deliver therapy aligned with IEP goals while following the academic calendar. New graduates are welcome to apply with an active permanent Occupational Therapy license!
Responsibilities as the Occupational Therapist (School-Based):
- Therapy Delivery: Provide occupational therapy services in individual and group settings aligned with IEP requirements.
- Skill Development: Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills for classroom success.
- IEP & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings.
Qualifications for the Occupational Therapist (School-Based):
- Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field is required.
- Licensure: Active New York State Occupational Therapy license is required.
- Certification: NBCOT certification is required, with an active NPI number preferred.
- Experience: School-based or relevant clinical experience is preferred, and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to support students in a structured environment.
