Occupational Therapist
The OT will be able to identify patients/customers: Inpatients, Outpatients, Home Health/Hospice patients, Sub-Acute Unit patients (neonates to geriatrics). The OT is responsible for performing an age-specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient's individual needs. This includes assessment and evaluation of cognitive, sensory, neurological, musculoskeletal, functional, and physiological status. The OT develops a plan of care, performs treatment as indicated, assesses patients' response to treatment, and assists with discharge planning. The OT utilizes exercise, equipment, and physical agents to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motion, and to decrease pain to restore a patient's optimal mobility and functional ability.
