Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in beautiful Salida, CO, has a full time : 40 hours/ per week opening as an Occupational Therapist.
Occupational therapy services are provided for habilitation, rehabilitation, and the promotion of health and wellness to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction.
Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory-perceptual, and other aspects of performance in a variety of contexts and environments to support engagement in occupations that affect physical and mental health, well-being, and quality of life.
Facilitates mental health screenings, assessment, treatment and triage of care for identified individuals in a consultative capacity to minimize emotional or otherwise harm to the patient and maximize participation in the individual's plan of care.
Provides quality occupational therapy care in all areas of rehabilitation by performing services at the preventive, acute and rehabilitative stages directed toward achieving increased functional independence and decreased functional decline and the need for more intensive care.
