The University of South Alabama invites nominations and applications for an Assistant Professor tenure track faculty position in the Department of Occupational Therapy. The University of South Alabama (USA) is a doctoral/research-intensive institution offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. USA is located in the historic southern city of Mobile on beautiful Mobile Bay close to the Gulf Coast beaches and a short drive to New Orleans. This innovative Occupational Therapy Doctorate program (OTD) is organized around occupational performance areas and has an outstanding reputation.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Occupational Therapy or related field (OTD, PhD, EdD, etc.) and be eligible for (or hold) OT licensure in Alabama. Clinical experience is required and previous teaching experience is preferred. This is a twelve-month tenure track faculty position with expectations for scholarly productivity. Qualified applicants should be team-oriented and have an established practice area. Clinical expertise with pediatric clientele or geriatric patients is preferred. The successful candidate will teach courses in areas of expertise and in general OT topics, advise students, and direct graduate research projects. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
