Fixed Term Open Rank Faculty Position

The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy (OS/OT), Department of Health Sciences, School of Medicine invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, faculty position. This is a fixed track position and rank will be dependent on experience and qualifications. Primary responsibilities of this position include (1) teaching content related to occupational therapy for adults in physical rehabilitation and other practice content as appropriate; (2) providing occupational therapy services at UNC Health; (3) advising students in the Master of Science in occupational therapy program; (4) engaging in scholarship and providing service to the division, university, and profession.
Required qualifications include: (1) earned entry-level degree in occupational therapy (e.g., BA, MS, OTD); (2) earned graduate degree (e.g., OTD, MA/MS, EdD, PhD); (3) experience with occupational therapy practice with adults; (4) teaching experience in occupational therapy (e.g., classroom or clinical); and (5) currently licensed or eligible for OT licensure in North Carolina prior to start date.
Preferred qualifications include: (1) earned terminal academic doctoral degree (e.g., OTD, EdD, PhD); (2) record of clinical mentorship and/or advising of students; (3) academic teaching experience; (4) occupational therapy experience working with adults in physical rehabilitation settings; (5) interest in assistive technology; and (6) experience working collaboratively on teams.
