Tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science beginning August 2024. Earned post-professional research doctoral degree by February 28, 2025. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland; teaching experience in occupational therapy or occupational science; and active research agenda with capacity for scholarly productivity and external funding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated awareness and clear articulation of strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment. Commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service. Salary is commensurate with experience and rank; ABD candidates will be hired at the rank of lecturer until doctoral degree is completed. Primary responsibilities include Teaching: Facilitate classroom and applied learning experiences for diverse graduate professional students in occupational therapy and occupational science, advise and mentor students, and direct student research at the doctoral level. Scholarship: Conduct and disseminate research and seek external funding to support focused area of inquiry. Service: Participate in active service to the department, college, university, community and profession. Review of completed application begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
