Occupational Therapist

Provides direct and indirect patient care to implement treatment programs under direction of an Occupational Therapist in response to physician referrals and in accordance with a plan of care jointly developed. The scope of practice includes training in the following areas: activities of daily living, functional mobility, upper extremity restoration and splinting, cognitive and perceptual, family and patient education, psychological (both individual and in group setting). Ability to participate in patient transfers, activities of daily living, and other functional mobility tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Excels in professional growth and development.

• Maintains awareness of hospital and/or Department changes (i.e. policy and procedure, equipment changes, etc.).
• Ability to correctly identify problems and develop a treatment plan at conclusion of the initial evaluation.

• Adequate computer skills to achieve accurate billing and documentation.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Federal/ state/ hospital regulatory compliance.

Credentials - Essential:

• OT - Occupational Therapist
• BLS - Basic Life Saving certification

Competencies and skills - Essential:

• Clear Communication Skills Both Written and Verbal
• Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
• Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
• Has Skills to Provides Customer Service to Patients, Team Members And Visitors
