The Program in Occupational Therapy at Washington University is currently seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position beginning in the 2022-2023 academic year. This is a non-tenured, 12-month position on the clinician track. As a generalist educator, the selected candidate will teach a wide variety of courses within the master’s and clinical doctoral curricula with an emphasis on adult/older adult neuro-rehabilitation.
The position reports to the director of the Division of Professional Education and will contribute to an inclusive teaching, learning and working environment that engages and challenges diverse learners. The candidate will advise and mentor students to achieve their potential and transform them into compassionate professionals. They will work with Program, University and professional leaders in education to enhance the learning experience through scholarship and regularly disseminate that knowledge in juried presentations and publications regionally, nationally and globally.

Required qualifications, skills and accomplishments:
Eligible for or holds occupational therapy licensure in the state of Missouri.
Doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time (or equivalent) experience teaching in higher education required, including associated teaching competencies and ability to relate to student learning needs.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in occupational therapy practice. Clinical expertise in adult/older adult neuro-rehabilitation is required.
An established line of scholarly research as demonstrated by juried publications and presentations
The ability to mentor students through directed clinical/community research or program development projects consistent with a line of scholarly work.
Ability to mentor and advise students.
Experience delivering curriculum through contemporary instructional technologies, which include the virtual classroom.
Experience using learning management systems to support teaching role.
Active involvement and/or leadership in local, state or national professional organizations.
Position responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
