The Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences at FIU invites applications for a tenure earning position as an Open Rank: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience. The desired candidate will have an earned doctoral degree in OT or related field with the potential to develop (or continue) a program of externally funded research and/or demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, applied clinical research and service. Strong support from the department, college, and the university in the form of release time, assigned graduate assistants, startup funding, mentorship, assistance in forming collaboration within FIU and local community are readily available. The college and the university also provide grant writing assistance, and strong pre-award and post-award support. The department is an exciting, forward-thinking department that has established strong collaborative research partners. Our designated Academic Health Center is widely recognized and offers a setting rich in innovative resources, technology and teaching environments. A successful candidate will also have been certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy as an OT, and have licensure in the state of Florida.
