Join a patient-centered team of OT, PT, and Speech Therapists and assistants in a 5 year old state-of-the-art outpatient clinic located in a critical access hospital in central IL. Carlinville is a historic and friendly small town conveniently located between Springfield, IL and St Louis, MO with quick access to I-55. Our hospital is 10 years old, and the Outpatient Rehabilitation Services department was added 5 years ago and boasts dedicated pediatric treatment areas, a bright, spacious gym with state of the art equipment, a heated therapy pool, and a wide variety of patients served. If you are looking for a capable, skilled team and want to use your OT skills to serve a variety of patients with orthopedic to neurological conditions and everything in between, you will have that opportunity here. While this position is primarily outpatient, we also have a progressive inpatient rehab team!
Graduate of approved OT program
Current IL license in good standing; BLS
3 years outpatient experience in pediatrics, hands, general ortho/neuro
About CARLINVILLE AREA HOSPITAL
Carlinville Area Hospital is a licensed 25-bed acute care hospital that provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. Patients can be admitted to the hospital for medical, surgical or pediatric care. A variety of other services are available to patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis through the Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary, Imaging, Laboratory and Rehabilitative Services, including Physical, Occupational, Speech and Aqua Therapy, as well as Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Nine physicians currently represent the Active Medical Staff at Carlinville Area Hospital. Their specialties include General and Family Practice, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Orthopedics. More than 20 physicians, representing over a dozen specialties, are available to see patients locally through the Hospital’s Outpatient Specialty Clinic.
Carlinville Area Hospital offers a 24-hour STAT Stroke and STAT Heart designated emergency department staffed with emergency medicine physicians. These physicians also act as Hospitalists, which means they can admit and care for patients who do not have a physician that regularly admits patients at the Hospital. Staff ph...ysicians may also elect to use the Hospitalists to assist in managing the care of their own admitted patients.
Skilled nursing and rehabilitative care is available at Carlinville Area Hospital through our Transitional Care Unit (TCU). If someone is recovering from surgery, stroke, fracture or an extended medical illness and hospitalization, they can choose to rehabilitate at Carlinville Area Hospital, whether they were hospitalized in Carlinville, Springfield, St. Louis or elsewhere.
