Job Description
Metro is looking for a motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist to provide coverage for our outpatient facilities on a per diem basis, with opportunities throughout Suffolk County. Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!

What You'll Do:
- Provide one-on-one treatment
- Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
- Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Develop and guide plans of care which encourage compliance and produce the best results for your patients.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience.
Qualifications
- Occupational Therapist Program Graduate
- NYS Occupational Therapy License or eligible
- Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid
- Outpatient experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Sensory integration experience a plus
