The University of Oklahoma Health Campus (OU Health Campus) seeks an experienced health sciences leader to serve as Dean of the College of Allied Health. The University of Oklahoma (OU) enrolls nearly 37,000 students and offers more than 170 academic programs across three campuses.
The OU Health Campus is one of the nation’s few academic health centers with seven health profession colleges, an NCI-designated cancer center, and a Level I Trauma Center on the same campus. It serves approximately 4,000 students in more than 70 undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs on the Oklahoma City and Tulsa campuses and additional sites. The OU Health Campus is recognized by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education as a R2 “High Research Spending and Doctorate Production.” It is the leading research institution in Oklahoma, with a Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research NIH funding rank of 98 in 2025.
The College of Allied Health offers 14-degree pathways across programs in Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Dietetics, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Sonography, and Radiography. The College is thriving, with enrollment exceeding 635 students and first-time board and licensure pass rates above 94 percent. The College is further distinguished by its innovative academic offerings, interprofessional educational activities, and leadership development program.
The next Dean will advance the College’s growth through academic innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and expanded research and clinical engagement. This is an opportunity to guide a college whose graduates are in strong demand across the healthcare workforce and within a university experiencing notable upward momentum--including gains in national rankings, sustained enrollment growth, and expanding research investment. Success as Dean will require substantial leadership experience and a deep understanding of the health sciences, including education, research, practice, and workforce needs.
The Dean must hold an earned doctorate in a relevant STEM field from an accredited university and demonstrate scholarly distinction consistent with appointment as an associate or full professor within the College.
