University of the Sciences, Samson College of Health Sciences invites applications for a half time Assistant Professor Position in Occupational Therapy. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and evolution of programs in a well-respected department in the Samson College of Health Sciences.
The Department of Occupational Therapy has 15 full-time faculty members, enrolls over 200 students and offers 3 fully accredited programs: an entry level DrOT, a post-baccalaureate Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, and a post-Professional DrOT program. The Department is one of a small number of programs in the country to offer an entry-level professional doctoral program. The program has clinical affiliation agreements with more than 1500 field sites including healthcare systems, schools, and community settings. Occupational therapy students obtain experiential learning in hospitals, community outreach programs, senior centers, and rehabilitation centers.
We seek an individual with a doctoral degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of three years of clinical experience, certified by NBCOT, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
Finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.
The half time Assistant Professor of OT faculty position is a 12-month appointment. Responsibilities for the position include teaching in our MOT and DrOT programs, and establishing partnerships in non-traditional fieldwork sites. Individual’s who think outside the box, are confident and highly motivated are encouraged to apply to assist in the development of non-traditional fieldwork sites.
